A Straight Flush is basically five cards of same suit in a sequence. In a showdown among players having Straight Flush, the hand with the highest top card wins the pot. Straight Flush hands which only differ in suits but not in sequence are ranked equal.
For example, 2♠ - 3♠ - 4♠ - 5♠ - 6♠.

Four of a Kind (Quads)

A Four of a kind is a poker hand containing four cards which are of the same rank with the kicker (one card of another rank or side card). In a showdown among players having four of a kind, the player with the highest ranked card wins the pot.
For example, 10 ♥ - 10 ♠ - 10 ♣- 10 ♦ - 5

Full House

A Full House is a poker hand consisting of three cards of one rank and two cards of another matching rank. In a showdown among players having full house of same three cards, the highest rank of the two matching cards wins the pot.
For example, K ♠ - K ♥-K♣ - Q♦-Q♠.

A flush is a hand in poker which consisting of any 5 cards of same suit. In a showdown among players having flush, the player holding the highest ranked card wins the pot.
For example, J-2-5-A-10.



A straight is a hand in poker consisting of any suit of five cards in a sequence. Either 5 or 10 appear in every possible straight. In a showdown among players having straight, the top card of the straight determines who wins the pot.
For example, 8 ♠ - 9 -10 ♣- J ♦ -Q ♠.


Three of a Kind

Three of a kind consists of three cards of the same rank and two unrelated side cards. In a showdown among players having three of a kinds, the player having three cards of the highest rank wins the pot.
For example, Q ♠ -Q ♦ - Q -7♦ - 10

Two pair consists of two cards of the same rank with another two cards with a matching rank, also a kicker card with completely different rank. In a showdown among players having two pairs; the highest pair wins, in case two players have a pair of the same rank the rank of the second pair will be considered.

One Pair

If you made a hand containing two cards of the same value, you are holding a pair. There is a "pair of aces" with a king kicker In the 5 card hand displayed here. A pair of aces beats any other hand which contains only a pair (Ace is the highest card in poker). The king kicker would be taken into consideration only if your opponent is also holding a pair of aces.

High Card

High card is hand in poker that does not qualify in any of the above hands. The card with the highest rank wins; if two players are having same high cards the kicker comes into play.
